Lilly Pulitzer always delivers on the comfy tank dress. I love this style and print because doesn't it remind you a little of mermaid scales (and look at that back)? This was another dress I thought that would be perfect for the 4th of July weekend but due to all the rain didn't make an appearance until last weekend. I've probably worn in four times since then. This dress runs a little big so size down than your normal Lilly. As you know from reading (or if you are a new reader, hello!) I love easy dresses, they make you look polished and are actually less effort than putting on yoga pants or shorts. Plus, with this HEAT (it is going to be over 100 in the Ham this weekend) easy dresses are a go-to for not only looking fashionable but beating the heat.
Tank dresses are an excellent option for these hot summer days. I'm really getting into stripes and I think this option is cute and the price (under $20) is even better. This dress is also great for a night out. I like neutral colors like grey that you can add colorful accessories for summer but still wear it in the fall months when it's warmer out or adding a leather jacket in winter. If you are more into the maxi dress trend, perhaps a great option at work is this little number. The high low hem is perfect in my opinion, because you don't feel exposed in the back like a mini but the front allows you to walk easily (no tripping!). And you show a little leg without showing too much.
Before you shop the look below remember the Nordstrom anniversary sale kicks off in the morning! If you are a cardholder you can go ahead and get pre-access to the sale but if you aren't (like me) then we will just have to wait till the morning!
