November Instagram Round-Up

Happy Thursday! The week is flying by but I am so ready for the weekend! December is shaping up to be another busy month just like November. Halloween kind of unofficially kicks off the holidays because starting November 1st we move into full the full holiday season. I loved November because it was filled with new adventures and the weather finally cooled off and my wardrobe was able to mixed up a little! Here are some of my favorite Instagram moments of the month.

I love attending events around town and this was a special preview party for a local magazine's holiday issue. This is one of my favorite outfits and I love throwing this dress on to look put-together and stylish plus it's so comfy! I am obsessed with these suede over the knee boots (they are flats!).

November was also filled with lots of traveling and while running in the airport to make my connecting flights, I loved the easiness of this weekender bag. As you know I am a frequent flier for the 24-48 hour trips and the less luggage I have the better. This bag is large and has a compartment underneath plus you can't miss it with the design and sparkle!

Holiday decorating is one of the most festive ways to celebrate the season. True, the stores start putting Christmas items out before summer is even over but I try and wait till at least November till I start looking for new décor. I saw these sparkly reindeer at Target (even though I was there shopping for groceries) and knew I had to have one! Chic and affordable are why Target is the BEST.

If you follow my blog or visit frequently you know I love my Piko tops! This hunter green is beautiful and so season appropriate right now. Ultra flattering and the material is the softest thing closest to PJ's. Add a hat, tights with fringe booties and you have one of my favorite looks that can go from day to night with just a few accessories!

As you get older you appreciate good friendships more and more. That's why I try to have lunch with each of my closest friends whenever I can to catch up. I love those friendships that can pick up right where you left off even if you aren't able to see each other as much as you would like. For a fun catch-up session I wore a bright Piko dress (yes, I live in them), these fabulous over the knee boots I got pre-fall at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and this adorable clutch that I scooped up at the Special Sale at Kate Spade.

Movie nights are some of my favorite nights, they are especially great during these dark, cooler nights, perfect for dates and outings with friends. Obviously one of the biggest films recently is the very last Hunger Games. I wore this super comfy, perfect for sitting (and eating popcorn) for two plus hours. It was chilly so I added a faux fur vest and of course my trusty flat over the knee boots.

In the South, fall means football! While my NFL team is doing perfect (Go Panthers! Yay Cam!) my college team didn't do so hot (still War Eagle) but that doesn't mean I didn't love every minute tailgating, seeing my college besties, and maybe even doing a little boutique shopping on the Plains. I love this tote from the Reese Witherspoon created brand, Draper James. While I think the label is pricy I went for a bag that I can use over and over rather than a piece of clothing. It gets so many compliments and fits the southern charm appeal to a T.

Also, Burger King has the best iced coffee which was great for driving down on game days especially when the games were at 11am. Plus, their coffee is like a dollar and it taste like delicious chocolate.

My whole family always comes over for the holidays and I know everyone gets busy. So it's important not to stress out and take a little time to relax. I completed Novel November and was so happy to finally finish my first novel! Writing has always been a passion of mine so this was a big deal for me and next I hope (fingers crossed) to get it published. Stephen King is my all-time favorite author so I always reach for one of his books when I want to sit by the fire and recharge.

Who else goes out and gets the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving? I think it's pretty much an unwritten rule. It was actually pretty warm that day but I still wanted to look festive so I paired my denim shorts with a black tank then threw on this designer looking poncho. The flat OTK boots make another appearance and it was off to have a holly jolly Christmas (or something like that).

Hope you guys enjoyed this round-up and be sure to follow me on Instagram (say hello!). More new holiday posts and gift guides coming soon so lots of new exciting things happening!

xoxo,
