Get a Little Graphic (Tee!)

I have a minor obsession with graphic tees. I love them. Remember those tees circa 2003-2006 that had sayings on them like "your boyfriend says hi" (literally cringing) from stores like Abercrombie? You wore one of those with a denim jacket and a tiered, mini skirt. We all did no reason to feel embarrassed! Today's tees are much better with even high end designer's taking on the style and there are more options than ever.

One reason I like a graphic tee is that you can throw one on and how you style it can completely determine the look. Have a band tee? Pair it with a striped min, converse and leather jacket to look totally rock chic or pair it with denim cutoffs, long beaded necklace and fringe sandals for a bohemian looks straight out of Coachella. I don't think you can go wrong with leggings, booties and a leather jacket to give you a simple yet stylish look rather you are going on a date, girl's night or to run errands. It's all about how you dress it up or down with the shirt being the base piece and focal point.

Here are a few of my favorites!

Wildfox Couture

Van Halen Graphic Raglan Tee
Forever 21 (Under $20!)
Star Wars Darth Vader Graphic Tee
Forever 21 (under $15!)
Ramones Baseball Tee
Forever 21 (under $20!)

As you can tell I love tees from Forever 21, they are cute and inexpensive which is always a plus for me! I also really like Chaser, they are high quality and worth the extra money. Another one of my favorites is Sub-Urban Riot, Midnight Rider and Daydreamer Clothing (the softest shirts ever!)

The best thing is anyone can rock this look and you can tailor your tees to your own personal style or even mix it up to give you a different look than usual! Plus, how many times have you been out an hd wish you had on a t-shirt and jeans/shorts? Well, in this look you can and you won't look like you just rolled out of bed (even if you feel like you are in your PJ's). Dress them up or down, graphic tees are the way to go!

Mini-Mayhem

Hello and happy hump day! We are so close to the weekend and the weather is beautiful here in the Ham! Living in the South we know the weather can be very...temperamental. Some days in the winter and early spring it can be freezing and other days it can be as sweltering as the middle of June that's why I always turn to easy dresses like this  MuMu Tunic.

I love a good piece that I can wear over and over and bonus points if it's seasonal. This is why I immediately noticed this tunic, it has a super flattering cut (hello mini skirt!), whimsical pattern and I knew it would be on repeat in my wardrobe. Right now I pair it with fringe booties but when it gets warmer it will look great with a gladiator flat or heels. In cooler months, the dress will still look fashionable with a leather jacket and tights. It's one of those dresses you can throw on and go while still looking pulled together and this is always a win!

Tunic // I love the MuMu brand, they are a little more pricy than what I would like but the quality is well made and you can wear year after year! Go for more basic prints and solids, don't spend over $100 on a dress that won't be in style three months from now.

Necklace// I got this sunny necklace as a gift a while back and I wear it all the time! Kendra Scott makes some fabulous pieces and I highly suggest the Rayne necklace, it adds a pop of color (they have every color you can imagine!) and easy to style and wear.

Fringe Booties // This can be easily incorporated into your wardrobe at any time of the year! Super comfy and under $30? YES!

Quilted Bag // I got this blush bag on sale at Kate Spade last summer and it has been a huge staple in my wardrobe. Since the bag is old, I have found a super similar one for under $40!

Circular Ring // I got the ring a while back at a local boutique but here is a similar style for under $6!

Try to stay away from the pollen and keep checking back for more new posts this week!

Styling Graphic Tees

NFL Tee// Junk Food Clothing  Black Faux Fur Vest// Topshop (on sale!)  Over the Knee Boots// Steve Madden

Hello all! I know I haven't been blogging as much but these last two weeks have been so hectic. With class, work, and traveling the past two weekends, I feel like I haven't had a free moment. Not to worry (not that anyone was) but I'm back with tons of new posts this week! Today's post focuses on one of my favorite items, graphic tees!

Ok, we all remember back in the day at the height of Abercrombie and Fitch, the graphic tees paired with those super short tiered skirts and a denim jacket, you remember? We all remember. Then the graphic tee seemed to fade away as quickly as Paris Hilton's fame (we all wanted to go to Kitson in Cali, don't lie!), but the trend starting coming back as recently as last year. The tees now are super soft, vintage inspired and a look anyone can pull off!

One of my classic looks I love wearing is a graphic tee, leather jacket and leggings and/or skirt. So simple yet can look so stylish and put together. I like to make sure my tees are a little looser and longer especially if I am wearing leggings which is why I normally prefer sleeveless or short sleeved tees. If it has long sleeves, I normally nix the jacket, the look can feel a little bulky at that point. That is if you are wearing the jacket the whole time, if not, wear whatever jacket you want!

For today's look, in honor of my Carolina Panthers getting that W yesterday against the Seahawks, I had to pull out this vintage inspired tee. I absolutely love Junk Food Clothing tees, they can be a little pricy so I try to get them during sales. I also really like Chaser Brand and Wildfox Couture. However, you can find really cool tees at Target, Forever 21 (I have so many good ones from here!) and don't forget your local thrift store plus sites like eBay and Etsy. Anyways, I paired my Carolina tee with a black long sleeved tee underneath since it was so cool out then added my favorite faux fur vest (which is on sale!), leggings and knee high boots. Good to go for any victory Monday!

This look is super flattering, easy to create and can be styled up or down, I'm all about options! Get a few tees at places like Forever 21 and see how many times you wear them. Running late? Throw on a tee, striped mini and leather jacket. Swipe on some red lipstick and get out the door! Rock chic, fun athletic or even girly, so many ways to style graphic tees! Now go dig out your super vintage Nsync tee. You know you want to!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Happy to be back blogging!

Tube Toping It

Happy Tuesday! I'm sharing a summer staple on the blog today and one that can easily transition into fall with the help of a navy or winter white blazer. A colorful print tube top! I paired mine with some of my favorite denim shorts, a few pink bangles, a tasseled pendant and faux snakeskin sandals for a low-key weekend look with the right amount of flair. This is how I love to wear Lilly Pulitzer, freshening it up and making it more of my own laid back boho side. Don't get me wrong, I love looking a little more preppy but sometimes you want the comfort level but still look cute. You should all know by now I love me some Lilly and if you haven't already, check out the fall line (which includes a mermaid inspired print!) now.

I have been a little busy but I will be posting my back to school picks along with some new music posts tomorrow right here on the blog! While you wait on that, shop the look below!

Happy Shopping!
