Happy Friday! It might be early but I am up getting ready for work and doing a little last minute packing for Orlando so I thought I would give you all a few of my favorite things right now and some you can check out this weekend. Let's go!
1. Big Fish (The Musical and Film)
Last night I went to the Red Mountain Theatre to experience the musical on-stage version of Big Fish. All I can say is you need to check it out if you are a Bham native or live here. I know it is also on Broadway and I believe has traveling shows so there will be ways for everyone in other states to see. Red Mountain offers a really cool way to see popular plays with local talent that does an exceptional job. Tickets are normally around $35 a piece so a good price for date night or hanging with your besties. If you can't make the play, I highly suggest the film version.

2. Fringe Booties
I keep thinking of that Bubba Sparx song (yes, I know it's like 10 years old) "Miss New Booty" whenever I talk about my favorite shoe wear of the fall. I was down with this trend last year and wore them from fall until it got too hot here in late spring. Check one of my favorite sites to find your own pair of fringe booties in your price range! Also, see where I got the pair below here and how I styled them.
3. Fall Decorating
As you may have realized October is my favorite month and I love decorating my house to welcome fall. I just changed up my bar cart style and I will be working on my porch next weekend. Go out and decorate on your own this weekend. It doesn't take much, you can even just go with a simple pumpkin. If you want to go more in depth I highly suggest places like Target and Hobby Lobby which offers lots of variety and great prices.
4. 1989 by Taylor Swift
I'm super pumped about going to Taylor's concert in ATL in a few weeks and you guys might already know how much I really enjoyed this album which came out this time last year. If you haven't heard any of the songs (or have been living under a rock) give this album a listen. Wildest Dreams may be my favorite song. Or maybe I just really like Scott Eastwood in the video.
5. Halloween Horror Nights or any other spooky haunted house in your area
I LOVE Halloween. I don't know if it's because my birthday is a few days before the holiday or maybe I just like spooky things. Probably both. I am so pumped to be attending Saturday's Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando! The event is downright scary, I really hope I can keep my eyes open most of the night. If that's a little too much for you I recommend Mickey' Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom if you will be visiting Orlando. Both events are popular and admission is required. If you aren't in Orlando or visiting anytime soon, I recommend two of my hometown houses right here in Bham. Sloss Fright Furnaces and The Atrox Factory. Sloss takes place at the historic downtown furnace that looks super eerie after the sun goes down. Atrox is very, VERY scary like as in the actors jump out at each turn scary. Atrox also has celebrity appearances from older slasher films so be sure to check the schedule for those weekend appearances! No matter where you are there are bound to be some haunted happenings in your city. Check them out!
