First Blogger Event, Talbots and Macaroons

I was so excited to be invited to my first blogger event last Thursday! I was a little nervous but I am so happy I attended and got to meet some fun and stylish ladies. The event was a mini-fashion preview at Talbot's at The Summit for their summer collection and of course snacks and talking about blogging. Here are just a sampling of the treats (you know I was all about the sweets!) the macaroons were delicious.

After chatting for a bit, I was no longer nervous since all of the attendees were so sweet (and fashionable). Talbots has been around for years, I remember seeing their jumpers and cardigans in the store windows when I was a little girl walking around the mall. It seems that they have definitely modernized their apparel and have made it look more fresh and youthful while still looking classic and sophisticated. Here are a few looks from the beach inspired summer line that caught my eye!

I really loved all the jewelry! Especially the pink and orange layered necklace. Something nice and convenient was they had petite, regular and plus size siding options in all of the clothes. Plus, the consultants were very helpful and great at making suggestions. I saw lots of options that would be great for attending a summer wedding, weekend beach trip, sorority recruitment, graduations or just running errands around town. I definitely saw Talbot's in a new light (I WILL be purchasing that orange and blue dress for college football Saturdays) and for sure stop by your local store or check online to view the new collection here.
